ABOUT

our beliefs

As a Movement one of our greatest desires is to see and respond to God rightly. We believe in God–Father, Jesus–Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is both fully God and fully man. The Bible is God-breathed and is His authoritative Word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s son. We believe all people are created in the image of God and designed to live in a personal and eternal relationship with God through Jesus. Though we all have fallen short of the glory of God we can receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. He came to earth, and though He was sinless, died the death we deserved for our sins. In His resurrection power we are able to receive eternal life. Our response to seeing God rightly is repentance, faith, love, devotion, obedience to Him, and allowing our love for Him to overflow into proclaiming the good news of Jesus and making disciples of all nations through the empowerment and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And sure I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV).

our story

EVERYHEART BEGINNING

In the summer of 2017, two best friends traveled out to Estes Park, CO after their sophomore year of college hungry to see God move through a ministry in the national parks. While out in Colorado, Bryce and Jonah found an amphitheater in the middle of the mountain town and God put it on their hearts to hold an evangelistic gathering for anyone to come and hear the good news of Jesus. When the night finally came later that summer, a hundred plus people from all across the city gathered to worship and hear the Gospel. That night several people gave their lives to Jesus for the first time in response to hearing about the love of God. It was in those moments that the Lord truly sparked a burning desire in Bryce and Jonah’s hearts to give everything to create space for people to encounter the love of Jesus. In 2018, Bryce and Jonah went back out to Colorado for the summer and the vision expanded as God began to speak not just about one summer gathering but about an evangelistic move that would happen all across America touching thousands of lives. At this point, however, He was speaking to two young college students who had never been a part of something nearly as big as the dream that was just placed in their hearts. But they both knew the Lord was able to use young and inexperienced kids who are just willing to say yes.

MET BY LOVE

At the same time that the Lord was speaking to Bryce and Jonah, Brennan was in Los Angeles for a summer ministry program and was praying about starting a weekly worship gathering in the fall at his small Christian University in Grand Rapids, MI. After months of prayer and dreaming with the Lord. Brennan and three other students officially launched Met By Love in the fall of 2018. Starting on a baseball field at 9:00 PM on Monday nights, students at Cornerstone University gathered to host the presence of Jesus and respond rightly. Every Monday night at 9:00 PM, no matter how busy people were, more and more students came to be met by the love of Jesus. There was nothing flashy about these gatherings [no mics, lights, stage], just the presence of Jesus and an authentic desire for more of Him. This is what young people began to be drawn to. Over the next year, God began to build a family of counter-cultural Jesus people from Cornerstone and several other universities in the area that joined in on those Monday night gatherings. The year ended with worship and baptisms at the Grand Haven beach as students publicly proclaimed their love for Jesus.

FIRST TOUR

The rest of the summer of 2018 and following school year of 2018-19 was spent journaling, praying, and beginning to make obedient steps towards what God was speaking. By the spring of 2019, an evangelistic summer trip had been planned: founded on the belief that every heart was made for a relationship with Jesus Christ. EveryHeart officially went from a dream that started in Estes Park, CO to a full-blown reality when Bryce, Brennan, and Jonah along with three other best friends hit the road for the first tour in the summer of 2019. They headed out from Jackson, Michigan in a 1996 RV to 10 different cities, spanning all the way from the East coast to the West coast, traveling to a new city each week. During that summer, God was faithful to what He had asked these six best friends to do; dozens of salvations, miracles, signs and wonders, and hundreds of seeds planted all across America.

mET BY LOVE 2019

After a summer of seeing God move all across America, Met By Love started right back up the fall of 2019. Over the course of that year God developed the community into young men and women who knew God deeply and desired nothing more than to make Him known. Many were added to their numbers and many were finding freedom in Jesus through putting their full faith in Him.

covid-19

Upon graduating, in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bryce, Brennan, and Jonah continued to feel a stirring in their heart to see their generation met and sent by the love of Jesus. As they continued to seek the Lord’s direction, God gave them vision to see the two ministries come together and eventually form a movement of young people who would be both met and sent by the love of Jesus. After moving forward with another tour in the summer of 2020 and starting Met by Love back up in the fall, the vision of expanding and bringing the two ministries together was quickly becoming a reality. That fall, MBL expanded from Cornerstone to multiple different campuses throughout southwest Michigan as plans were being made to send out many of these same college students across the country on EveryHeart tours the next summer. As more and more young people encountered the love of Jesus on Monday nights, more and more began to share about how Jesus had changed everything for them. In 2020-2021, there were a total of five new Met by Love campuses across Michigan hosting the presence of Jesus on Monday nights, six different EveryHeart tour teams that went all across different regions of America to see people encounter the presence of Jesus, hundreds of salvations in Michigan and beyond, and hundreds of baptisms. The harvest is ready, but the workers are few and we believe that multiplied workers will lead to a multiplied harvest.

The movement

When EveryHeart Tour and Met By Love began, no one knew that what was started would last for years to come. God has continued to breathe on the vision to see young people met and sent by love unto seeing the Great Commission fulfilled. With everything that has happened, things have grown, things have changed, but the heart has stayed the same. Before all things, the greatest desire is to purely and wholeheartedly pursue God and live lives obedient to Him. Jesus changes everything, and the heart-cry of the EveryHeart Movement is to simply create space for every heart to be met by the love of Jesus through faithfully hosting His presence and responding properly!
